JUNE 3, 2005
At April's piano recital last evening, she arrived
in a
tea-length cloud of pink chiffon, sewn by Suzanne.
April's set of three pieces was about halfway through the program.
Below is a rare photo of her actual performance!
To our surprise, Gale awarded April the coveted
Outstanding Achievement Award
for the student who has shown the most improvement
in the Manor Studio intermediate class.
Sydney Manor (right) received the well-deserved
award
for the advanced class
The plaque says:
OUTSTANDING ACHIEVEMENT
APRIL McGINNESS
JUNE 2005
Grinning like a Cheshire cat . . .
April shifts effortlessly from hot-pink chiffon in June
to tae kwon do dobok (uniform) in July
when she will earn the right to don the honored black-belt!
JANUARY 22, 2005
At April's piano recital last evening, she wore
a stunning,
copper and lace brocade chemise lovingly sewn for
the occasion by Suzanne. Here are a few photos.
Captured: that ephemeral moment
between tomboy and woman . . .
April studies at the Piano Studio of Gale Manor.
Her recital was at the Woman's Club of Arlington.
She admirably performed a Brahms duet with fellow-student
Sarah Wilcox, the Waltz No. 16 in E Major,
and then two solo pieces,
The Bear in the Forest by Blok
and Daydreams by Mier.
Betty Grable's got nothin' on this shot!
A detail of the back of April's blouse.
Below, April sports the shawl
Grammy knitted
for Christmas 2004.
Gentlemen beware: a junior blackbelt lurks
beneath
this confident exterior!
Only for April fans: her latest
appearance on the Web
at a new website. She is modeling for a client of Dad's.
