Nope. You won't find a price list here. While we do have an hourly rate, our preference is to determine a total price for the project (satisfactory to both parties, of course) which frees us from watching the clock and counting hours, and frees you from being 'nickeled-and-dimed-to-death'.

1986 - Present
Self-employed freelance illustrator, designer, and Macintosh consultant handling a broad variety of projects.

Design

Newsletters, advertisements, storyboards, posters, logo design and stationery packages, menus, brochures, art direction and coordination of photo shoots. All projects are executed on the Macintosh utilizing QuarkXPress, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Photoshop, among others. Creation of World Wide Web home pages, and CD-ROM design and packaging. Designed stationery package, brochure, signet ring, and coronation crown for visiting African royalty.

Illustration

Illustration projects are rendered on the Mac (computer illustration, 3-D rendering, and photo scanning, manipulation and retouching), and in a wide variety of traditional media: airbrush, oils, pencil, scratchboard, watercolor, etc. Comissioned fine art and illustrations have hung in a one-man show, and been selected for local and national juried competitions and exhibits. Additionally commissioned to create murals and faux marble for businesses and restaurants.

Compose music for radio spots, jingles, and documentaries on synthesizers and other digital instruments. Voice-over work for radio commercials.

Danforth & Wallace Advertising --- Layout, design, illustration, photo coordination of all kinds of advertising and collateral materials.

1982-1984
Fairfax County Public Schools --- Layout, design, illustrate various school and education-related materials for Fairfax County.

1978-1982
Staff, Bob Jones University --- hired as paste-up artist but duties quickly expanded to illustrator, then designer, finally was made project art director on 17 textbooks and many other projects. Continued work on stage designing period costumes for Shakespeare's Julius Caesar, and for the opera Samson and Delilah.

1975-1978
Student, Bob Jones University --- Graduated with Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with courses in design, art and fashion history, painting, printmaking, etc., and courses on film and stage make-up and set design; English minor. Employed on University stage crew painting sets, constructing props.

1974-1975
Student, Virginia Commonwealth University --- courses in life drawing, design, painting, art and fashion history.

1972-1974
Army & Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) --- Visual merchandising department. Responsible for seasonal and weekly merchandise displays at 14 Washington-area Post Exchanges. Constructed backgrounds and props, etc.
